ABOUT ME
On a recent sabbatical from my career as a photographer, I took a pottery class and got really swept away.
When the course finished, I took another one and then another, and another… Until I became a fulltime member of a shared pottery studio in East London.
I make one off, hand thrown & hand coiled vessels. I try to make something unique, that is hopefully a little playful & whimsical.
I take inspiration from anything and everything as I go about my day. Whether I’m in nature, wandering the marshes where I live, or travelling to remote temples in India. From beautiful museums full of ancient art, to the ceilings of village churches and old cathedrals around the world. Everything inspires what I create in the studio and I hope I add a little bit of my own story to each piece.
After concentrating on making large one-off vessels, I have recently started making ornamental bowls, smaller vases, decorative shrines & various home wares.
